Price Performance
Growth Potential
- Structural defence super-cycle with NATO and allied defence spending as a share of GDP rising under current commitments, and the proliferation of low-cost drone warfare (highlighted by Russia-Ukraine strikes) driving urgent global demand for layered counter-drone solutions.
- Explosive order book growth with company's unconditional order book growing +84% (vs FY25) to $846m in 1H26, with management guiding 40-50% conversion to FY26 revenue and 60-80% of the total book converting across 2026-2027 (FY26 revenue including revenue from the MARSS business is expected to be $360-400m which if secured, would represent a record annual revenue for the company).
- MARSS acquisition (EU-based provider of AI-enabled command-and-control systems for counter-drone capability with key markets in the Middle East) is a strategic step-change with MARSS's NiDAR AI-enabled C2 system converting the company from an effector supplier into an integrated counter-drone systems house, unlocking cross-selling and a large recent Middle East order (together company’ kinetic and laser-based weapon systems and MARSS’ AI-enabled command-and-control capability provide a layered response for force protection and the defence of critical assets with the acquisition also expanding company’s presence across homeland security, critical infrastructure and asset protection markets, where demand for layered and intelligent counter-drone defence solutions continues to grow).
- Improved balance sheet with and the EM Solutions divestment plus a ~$230m capital raise ($190m placement + $40m SPP) leaving the company with $286m unrestricted cash (including $30m received post 1H26) plus $70.2m of restricted security deposits with banks to support bank guarantees, bonds and other contractual obligations.
- Broadening partnerships and geographic reach - new agreements including Calidus (UAE), MSI Defence Systems (U.K.), KNDS (Europe) and ROKETSAN (Turkey) extending market access via a "partner with national champions" go-to-market model, alongside new European entities in the Netherlands, France and the U.K.
- World-first HELW commercialisation with the company (in 2025) becoming the first firm globally to sign an export contract for a 100kW High Energy Laser Weapon (€71.4m/$125m in Netherlands), reportedly ahead of schedule and expected to be profitable and cash-flow positive with a new Singapore manufacturing facility opened in February 2026 to scale production.
