Since launching in Sydney in mid 2025, Stocks & Sips has brought executives from ASX-listed companies face-to-face with hundreds of retail investors, sophisticated investors, and high-net-worth individuals. Now, for the first time, we're bringing the series west.
Three companies — spanning gold exploration, battery metals, and clinical-stage biotech — will join Sharewise CEO Alex Perry on the panel for an evening of candid, conversation-style discussion. Each company opens with a brief introduction, followed by a mix of company-specific and open questions from Alex, before the floor opens to a live audience Q&A. After the panel wraps, guests can connect directly with company representatives over two hours of networking, canapés served by wait staff, an open bar, and complimentary merch from Sharewise and our panellists.
The panel and audience Q&A will be live streamed, with the full recording uploaded to Sharewise's YouTube channel after the event.

The Panel
Three ASX-listed companies across gold exploration, high purity alumina, and clinical-stage biotech — hear directly from management on strategy, milestones, and what's ahead.
Impact Minerals Limited, an exploration company listed on the ASX since 2006, boasts an extensive portfolio of tenement holdings spanning over 5,500 square meters, aiming to unlock Australia's mineral-rich potential. The centrepiece of their endeavours is the Lake Hope High Purity Alumina (HPA) Project in Western Australia, set to revolutionize HPA production with cost-efficient mining. This positions Impact Minerals to meet the surging demand for HPA, establishing a prominent presence in this specialised sector.
Moreover, Impact Minerals excels in its diverse mineral resources, including gold, silver, lead, zinc, copper, nickel, and platinum group metals (PGMs). This breadth places the company at the forefront, ready to seize profitable opportunities in the industry.
In line with forward-thinking strategies, the company also holds tenements with potential for other battery and strategic metals, aligning with global demand for these essential components.
Dr Jones completed undergraduate and post-graduate studies in Mining and Exploration Geology at Imperial College, London. His Ph.D work on gold mineralisation saw him move to Western Australia in 1988 to work for Western Mining Corporation exploring for gold and nickel deposits in the Yilgarn. From 1994 he consulted to the exploration and mining industry specialising in the integration of geological field mapping and the interpretation of geochemical, geophysical and remotely sensed data for target generation.
Dr Jones has worked on over 80 projects both in greenfields and near mine exploration in a wide variety of mineralised terrains and was the founding director of Lithofire Consulting Geologists in Perth, Australia. He was also the team leader during the discovery of a significant gold deposit at the Higginsville Mining Centre, near Kalgoorlie and an iron ore deposit near Newman, both in Western Australia.
Valiant Gold (ASX: VAL) is an emerging Western Australian gold company, listed on the ASX in March 2026, focused on advancing two proven brownfields assets in the Murchison Goldfields.
Created through the demerger of Westgold Resources' Reedy and Comet projects, Valiant was established to unlock value through dedicated focus and accelerated development.
Valiant holds 100% of the Reedy and Comet gold projects, which have collectively produced over 1Moz of gold and host a combined Mineral Resource of 15.6Mt @ 2.4g/t Au for 1.2Moz.
With existing Mining Leases and proximity to established processing infrastructure, the Company has a clear pathway toward near-term production.
Backed by a highly experienced board and management team, and with Westgold as a cornerstone shareholder, Valiant is well positioned to advance its next phase of growth.
Brendan is a mining executive and WASM graduate with extensive experience across Western Australia's resources sector, spanning technical operations and corporate strategy. He has held senior leadership roles across multiple projects, including at Mincor Resources, and now leads Valiant Gold as it progresses toward production as a newly listed ASX company.
Percheron Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing breakthrough therapies in oncology and rare diseases. Our lead program, HMBD-002, is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody targeting VISTA, an immune checkpoint regulator that plays a critical role in helping tumours evade the immune system. By blocking VISTA, HMBD-002 has the potential to reactivate the body's natural defences against cancer.
Dr James Garner is an experienced life sciences executive, whose career has focused on the development and commercialization of novel therapeutics for diseases with high unmet medical need.
Over the course of a twenty-year career in industry, James has worked principally with Biogen (NASDAQ: BIIB), Takeda (NYSE: TAK), and Sanofi (NASDAQ: SNY), in regional and global roles. He has overseen more than thirty national product approvals, more than a dozen multinational clinical trials, several partnering transactions, and numerous scientific collaborations. His experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology, CNS, and orphan diseases.
In his seven-year tenure as CEO and Managing Director of Kazia Therapeutics (NASDAQ: KZIA), James drove a transformation of the company's pipeline by in-licensing clinical-stage assets from Genentech and Evotec, deployed an extensive pipeline of more than a dozen clinical trials across multiple oncology indications, and inked partnering deals with Simcere (HKSE:2096) and Vivesto AB (STO: VIVE). James was also responsible for raising approximately US$40 million in equity financing for Kazia.
In addition to his medical qualifications and MBA, James holds a master's degree in continental philosophy and a bachelor's degree in the history of medicine, and is a member of AICD and ASCO.
